Being a part of EMI means being a part of an extended family. The people we work with are all motivated to make a difference, to change lives, and to have a monumental impact on the world. You’ll cry together, sweat together, live together, and most importantly, leave a lasting effect on communities in need.
Currently, EMI has projects in Central America and Haiti, which require short-term visits (7 to 10 days) by volunteer teams. The major focus at this time is Haiti, where EMI is preparing to operate a clinic in a suburb of Port-au-Prince.
We are looking for medical and dental professionals, including: doctors, dentists, nurses, nurse practitioners, dental assistants, hygienists, pharmacists etc.
We always need people on these teams to work alongside the medical professionals and assist in crowd control, distribution of food and supplies and many other important jobs.
In several Central American countries there are ongoing construction needs, whether it’s building a feeding centre, a medical clinic or a home for a family. This requires volunteers who have construction skills – at any level. If you can wield a hammer or help mix cement, we could use your help!
If you are interested in a volunteer opportunity and want more information, please fill out this brief form and we’ll get in touch with you to get more details as soon as possible. (Please note that completing a volunteer application does not guarantee participation, but we will acknowledge every application.)
